Date(s) - 23/09/2016
11:00 am - 3:30 pm

This TCTC Research and Development seminar will explore Therapeutic Communities (TCs), Enabling Environments (EEs) and Prisons that have the potential to offer a social climate of hope.  The day will feature presentations on desistance, research on what residents say is helpful within a prison TC, and how TCs and EEs are potential mechanisms of hope.  The day will also include a debate between Grendon residents and representatives from TC and EEs about whether all prison services should be enabling environments.  Speakers include Dr Gary Winship (University of Nottingham), Dr Ruth Brown (Enabling Environments, Christ Church Deal and Kent Community Health Foundation Trust), Dr Alethea Adair-Stantiall (Portsmouth University) and Rachel Dolan (University of Liverpool).

We advise booking early as spaces are limited. A CPD certificate will be available.
